Button Theme is my 2nd tumblr theme. It turned out pretty girly, I think. ;-) I just didn’t wanna do another white, clean, minimal looking theme, because there are already plenty great ones in tumblr’s theme garden.
So this theme has a bold title, buttons and a fabric texture that you can customize with your own colors. When you resize the browser, the right part starts to jump down - good for smaller screens. And other tumblogs you follow get added to your “Button Collection” on the left.
HTML5 vs Flash is a new Blog I started. The super hero for Flash is pretty obvious: Flash. For HTML5 I picked Green Lantern. Not sure why.. a lot of people think HTML5 is new and fresh and green.. it was also a good fit because I could replace the lantern with an Apple in memory of Steve Job’s thoughts on Flash.

Well, it’s more a CSS experiment that doesn’t use any JavaScript for the animation. Make sure you test it in Safari/Chrome.
Update: The theme now supports all post types and is blooming in the official theme garden.
Shitty Day is a side project I created just for fun. It searches for Tweets from people that write about their shitty day. The results can be seen in a fun way (toilet paper roll) and users get encouraged to send back some love. You might even could argue that it will have a therapeutic effect (you’re not alone with your shitty day).
First I intended doing everything in Flash, but then I thought it’s a good chance to play around with some CSS3, jQuery and the Twitter API. And a lot of fixed PNGs to let only the paper roll scroll. Watch the making of video.
Hawk Nelson’s Avatar Creator tool to promote their new album. Fans can use a picture and add 3D glasses to make it look like the original cover art. See some samples in this Video.

tocch provides specialized coaching, training and consulting services. There was a pretty tight deadline for this project, so I tried out the Gaia Framework for the first time and it went pretty smooth.
Can you see the speech bubble hidden in the logo? It’s in the negative space between the two C’s. It matches well because the name sounds like “talk” and they are about communication.

station did a new Flash version of their website.
I did the news page. Initially I tried to find some good video footage of ostriches, but was without luck. So I simulated their movements with just a couple still images. Click on the news items to see the birds “tweet”.
I also did the history page. There is a hidden feature that is not really obvious. You can swipe with your mouse from right to left (yeah, just like the iPhone) to see the next photos.

edel*flash is a personal project I’ve been doing for a couple years. It started out as a Flash Award like the FWA, then for a short time a blog and now it’s a Swiss based job-board focusing on Adobe Flash, Flex, Air. It also maintains a link index.
I use jQuery for the toggle effect, some transparency/PNGs for a glassy look and there was also a lot time spent to get the CSS spacing right. As a CMS I use twitter.
The extra goody: During 8pm and 6am (Swiss time) the site switches to a darker night theme.
